I wanted to bring attention to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, which is a charity that is near and dear to my heart. My mom passed away from an incurable form of Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) in 2016 at the age of 54. Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare type of cancer and affects around 20,000 people per year. It is known as a silent disease because there are not any alarming symptoms until the later stages in which there are currently not many options to cure the disease.
